The Role
They are seeking a Senior PM/BA to support a critical FRTB regulatory delivery programme within the Markets division. This is a high-impact role focused on delivering Market Risk and CVA regulatory change, requiring a blend of:
- Programme delivery (governance & execution)
- Deep business analysis (front-to-back trade lifecycle)
- Cross-functional orchestration across business and technology
You will operate at the heart of a complex, multi-year regulatory programme, working across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery aligned to regulatory milestones.
The position is being offered on an initial 6 month contract, working Monday to Friday with the occasional out of hours requirement in line with business need. The team are hybrid working being in the office 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday).
Key Responsibilities
- FRTB Programme Delivery & Governance
- Lead and coordinate delivery across FRTB governance forums (SteerCo, planning cycles, prioritisation)
- Produce executive-level reporting and track milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Ensure alignment to regulatory timelines (go-live: 1st Jan 2027)
- End-to-End Delivery & Business Analysis
- Elicit and refine requirements, ensuring full traceability into testing and implementation
- Map front-to-back trade lifecycle and data flows (source → analytics → risk/finance outputs)
- Break down complex regulatory requirements into technical deliverables
- Backlog & Agile Delivery Management
- Manage and prioritise complex backlogs (Jira/Jira Align)
- Apply structured prioritisation (MoSCoW), dependency management, and RAID tracking
- Ensure delivery pace aligns with critical regulatory deadlines
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate across ~10+ teams spanning Front Office, Market Risk, Finance, and Tech
- Lead workshops and drive alignment across multiple workstreams
- Present confidently at senior and executive level forums (SteerCo)
- Financial & Delivery Oversight
- Track delivery-linked financials across features/epics
- Support forecasting and resource alignment (FinOps awareness)
- Ensure cost and delivery plans remain aligned to programme priorities
- Team & Environment
- Working within the Risk & Finance Lab – Markets
- Engineering teams located across London and India
- Teams balancing project delivery alongside BAU work
- Domain Expertise (Essential)
- Strong Markets knowledge: Rates, FX, Credit, Money Markets
- Deep understanding of: Trade lifecycle
- Financial & risk management processes
- Fixed Income knowledge critical
- FRTB & Regulatory Experience (Must-Have)
- Hands-on experience delivering FRTB (Market Risk / CVA)
- Strong understanding of: Standardised vs Internal Models
- Regulatory frameworks and model design
- Experience in regulatory audit environments (e.g. PRA)
- PM / BA Hybrid Capability
- Proven track record operating as PM + BA in complex programmes
- Strong governance, reporting, and delivery ownership
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Stakeholder & Delivery Strength
- Experience coordinating large, cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure regulatory environments
