We require a strong IT and/or Security Trainer to support the planning of bespoke technical cyber training for privileged and high-risk users. You’ll come from a technical training background and will need to demonstrate project support/management capabilities.
Role Purpose
The role will play a critical role in supporting the Security Culture Training and Awareness Manager to deliver the Security Culture and Training PCDs. Ofgem’s requirement aims to strengthen security culture across the organisation by developing bespoke training, updating existing courses, and implementing cultural reinforcement initiatives. The role will ensure timely scheduling, coordination, and tracking of all training activities aligned with Ofgem’s CAF Enhanced Profile and SANS Maturity Level objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Coordination & Scheduling
- Plan and schedule delivery of circa 74 bespoke security training courses for privileged users and high-risk roles.
- Organise 100 individual training courses for security staff, ensuring 85% completion annually.
- Manage annual reviews of eLearning.
- Coordinate updates to eLearning on SuccessFactors.
- Onboard and support the university-level courses (Apprenticeship Level 4 & 6, PhD, Cyber Security Qualifications) according to multi-year timelines.
- Support the rollout of the security nudging tool and associated training.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between the PM, trainers, learners, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate updates to learners via email, Teams channels, and in-person engagement.
- Motivate and engage learners to complete training within deadlines.
- Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion rates, and compliance metrics.
- Support annual NPSA SeCUre4 survey assessments to evaluate training improvements.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the PM and escalate risks or delays.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all scheduled training aligns with CAF Enhanced Profile requirements and contributes to reducing risks (CIO_042, CIO_044, CIO_047, GSO_219, CIO_124).
- Monitor feedback and recommend improvements to enhance learner experience and engagement.

- Proven experience in training coordination or scheduling within a complex project environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners across multiple channels (email, Teams, in-person).
- Competence in using scheduling tools and learning management systems.
- Desirable
- Knowledge of security training frameworks and CAF Enhanced Profile.
- Familiarity with SANS Maturity Model and cyber security culture initiatives.
- Experience in reporting and compliance tracking.
