In short

We require a classic IT Business Analyst to support building out a framework for our new AI offering.

Previous hands-on experience with BI would be nice but not necessary. We just need a strong BA to assist in defining elements of the AI framework.

Purpose of the Role

Design, implement and embed enterprise standards, controls and governance required to enable safe, auditable and scalable adoption of Gen BI and Agentic BI . This role ensures that as adoption accelerates, quality, trust and control are strengthened .

  • Key Accountabilities
  • 1. Testing & Assurance (Audit Action)
  • Operationalise the
  • Minimum Standard Gen BI Testing Framework and Model Risk Office Governance

• Ensure testing is

  • embedded into delivery lifecycle
  • consistently applied across use cases
  • Establish clear evidence capture for audit and compliance
  • Work with Audit / Risk partners to ensure alignment and closure of audit actions
  • 2. Release & Control Model
  • Design and implement the

Minimum Standard Gen BI Release Model , including

  • readiness criteria
  • go-live approval model
  • scaling guardrails
  • Embed release controls into playbooks
  • 3. Service & Incident Management
  • Define and operationalise a

Gen BI service model , including

  • incident management
  • fault reporting
  • ownership across the ‘BI as a Service’ Lab, AI Co E and federated BI teams
  • Ensure service processes are clear, consistent and actively used
  • 4. Standards & Governance Embedding
  • Translate standards into practical delivery guidance
  • (not just documentation)

• Integrate into

  • Gen BI Playbook
  • onboarding and rollout models
  • Drive adoption of standards across AI Co E, business domains and federated teams
  • 5. Automation & Tooling (e. g. MCP, Q-score)
  • Set and agree minimum standards for controlled adoption of emerging tooling , including:
  • MCP (integration/orchestration patterns)
  • Q-score / quality frameworks
  • semantic model analysis tooling
  • Define enterprise guardrails for use
  • Pilot tooling in real use cases and assess impact on quality, speed and consistency
  • Key Deliverables (2026)
  • Minimum Standard Gen BI Testing Framework (live and auditable)
  • Minimum Standard Gen BI Release Model (in operation)
  • Incident & service management model (embedded)
  • Standards integrated into playbooks and onboarding
  • Defined and piloted approach to MCP / automated quality tooling
  • Success Criteria (End of 2026)
  • All Gen BI solutions follow consistent testing and release standards
  • Audit requirements are fully addressed with evidence
  • Service issues are managed through structured, repeatable processes
  • Automation is improving quality without weakening control
  • Control model is ready to scale across federated 2027 rollout
  • Profile & Experience

• Strong experience in

  • Data / AI governance, controls or assurance
  • Enterprise delivery frameworks
  • Risk / audit environments (financial services strongly preferred)

• Ability to balance

  • control discipline with delivery pragmatism

• Experience with

  • BI platforms (Power BI, Looker)
  • Gen AI / AI governance (desirable)

• Comfortable operating across

  • Co E
  • delivery teams
  • risk / audit stakeholders
