We are supporting a Banking & Markets function in hiring a Junior Project Manager to join a central change team. This is a junior to mid-level opportunity, ideal for someone with a few years’ experience looking to build their career within Capital Markets.
Role Overview
You will support the delivery of a portfolio of risk, resiliency, and change initiatives, working alongside senior Project Managers who lead larger programmes. This role is focused on coordination, governance, and stakeholder communication, ensuring projects are well-managed, tracked, and delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities across the lifecycle, from planning through to implementation
- Support delivery of risk and resiliency initiatives, including governance and reporting
- Maintain and track project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Monitor project financials, including budget tracking, funding, and expenses
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, updates, and process materials
- Facilitate meetings and ensure clear communication across cross-functional teams (product, operations, technology)
- Work closely with Product and Delivery teams to support requirements and execution
- Ensure adherence to internal project and risk management frameworks
Team & Environment
Working alongside senior Project Managers leading large-scale programmes. Strong support network with opportunities for learning and development. High project volume, particularly over the coming 12 months, offering strong exposure.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Project Management, PMO, or Project Coordination role
- Background in Financial Services (essential), with Capital Markets exposure preferred
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to take ownership
Desirable
- Exposure to markets-related areas (e.g. securities finance, repo, collateral)
- Experience supporting financial tracking and governance
- Familiarity with structured delivery or Agile environments
