We are seeking an experienced Corporate Banking Operations AVP – Credit Documentation Specialist to join the Execution Control Team within a leading international bank. This is an excellent opportunity for an operational subject matter expert with strong knowledge of loan, trade finance and derivative documentation to support a busy and evolving business area.
The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing, onboarding and approving complex credit documentation, ensuring all documentation is operationally sound and compliant before progressing through the approval process.
Key Responsibilities- Review and onboard loan, trade finance and derivative documentation from both an operational and credit risk perspective.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete and meets internal policies and regulatory requirements before approvals are obtained.
- Act as an operational SME for complex documentation queries.
- Support the Execution Control team in managing documentation throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Work closely with Front Office teams to resolve documentation issues and facilitate smooth execution.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology to ensure documentation and operational processes are aligned.
- Contribute to change initiatives and process improvements as documentation standards continue to evolve.
- Manage a high volume of documentation while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong background within Corporate Banking Operations or Credit Documentation.
- Demonstrable experience reviewing loan, trade finance and/or derivative documentation.
- Solid understanding of credit documentation processes and operational controls.
- Experience using Loan IQ is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and operational documentation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Banking or financial services background is essential.
This role requires extensive collaboration across internal teams, including Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Technology. There is no external client interaction; however, strong internal communication, collaboration and relationship management are critical to success.
