Overview

We’re working with a large, complex organisation to hire an Employee Relations Case Manager to support the delivery of a consistent and effective employee relations service. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in employee relations casework who is looking to deepen their experience. You’ll support the handling of ER matters such as absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and workplace concerns, working closely with managers and senior ER colleagues to ensure cases are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with policy. You’ll play a key role in maintaining standards across case management while building your confidence in advising on ER processes and supporting investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of employee relations case management across a range of areas (e.g. absence, disciplinary, grievance)
  • Provide guidance to managers on ER policies, procedures, and best practice
  • Assist with the coordination and progression of ER cases, ensuring timely outcomes
  • Support investigations by gathering information, preparing documentation, and tracking actions
  • Help facilitate ER meetings and difficult conversations where guidance is required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
  • Support ER reporting, including tracking trends such as absence or case volumes
  • Work alongside experienced ER colleagues on more complex or sensitive cases
  • Promote consistency and fairness in the application of ER policies
  • Keep up to date with employment law and ER best practice (e.g. ACAS guidance)

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in employee relations or casework, rather than generalist HR
  • Practical understanding of ER processes (e.g. absence management, disciplinaries, grievances)
  • Confidence supporting managers with ER queries and processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
  • Sound judgement with the ability to follow guidance on more complex matters
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases or tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
