An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in IT procurement and supplier management to join a major financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in delivering strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management across a range of technology categories — including software licensing, hardware, cloud, infrastructure services and professional IT services. You’ll support the business in driving value, managing risk, and ensuring best-in-class supplier performance across complex, high-value contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver category and sourcing strategies across IT and technology services.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, RFPs, supplier selection and contract negotiation.
- Manage supplier relationships and governance processes to ensure performance, compliance and commercial value.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, influencing sourcing decisions and promoting best practice.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the supply base.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in IT category management, technology sourcing, or procurement within large or regulated organisations.
- Strong commercial understanding of SaaS, cloud, and managed service agreements.
- Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost efficiency and value creation.
- Knowledge of contractual risk management, compliance and governance frameworks.
