Job

Purpose: As a respected subject matter expert, the Environmental & Sustainability Advisor will work closely with the project team to ensure that construction practises not only meet but exceed environmental standards.

This pivotal role involves leading first-line assurance, monitoring contractor performance, and fostering a culture of sustainability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Environment & Sustainability Onshore Manager to implement effective management strategies for environmental and sustainability initiatives across the Great Grid Partnership and projects.
  • Communicate essential environment and sustainability requirements to project teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture passionate about environmental responsibility.
  • Ensure construction contractors and consultancy partners adhere to their environmental and sustainability commitments, providing assurance to project teams regarding risk management.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for environmental technical advice, supporting project teams and contractors in identifying and implementing best practises.
  • Track and report on performance against contractual sustainability deliverables, ensuring compliance with project and programme reporting requirements.
