Salary £24,309.07 per annum pro rata.

Location: Northamptonshire, Kettering.

Contract/Hours: Permanent part-time: minimum 4-6 hours per week, more during school holidays. Expected Working Patterns: Saturdays in term time and varied weekdays during school holidays. Flexible hours available to accommodate courses, family or other employment.

About the Role:

As a Childrens Services Worker you will support children and young people aged 5-18, helping to maintain excellent support and deliver a range of activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support in group activities
  • Plan and execute activities, encouraging active participation across group sessions
  • Be a creative thinker, using a solution-focused approach
  • Use skills, knowledge and experience to meet the needs of young people
  • Take responsibility for personal care and daily routines of the young people
  • Engage in arts & crafts, leisure activities, park visits, bowling and more

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Positive approach, providing a fun environment for all children in care
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices
  • Creative, positive, proactive approach towards work
  • Confidence to participate in group work supporting children’s emotional health and wellbeing
  • Ability to travel across remote locations
