Our Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing critical day‑to‑day support for offshore operations within their designated asset, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of mechanical systems, including both static and rotating equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily mechanical engineering support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems across the designated asset or site.
- Address and resolve technical issues raised by the site team within a 0‑14 day timeframe, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain close links with Technical Authorities to preserve the integrity of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
- Ensure all planned maintenance activities are identified and integrated into both short and long‑term asset plans, with a focus on optimizing maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors to support planned and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring that all necessary resources and expertise are available.
- Collaborate with reliability engineers and other onshore Mechanical Engineers to support reliability improvement programs, RCM analyses, and maintenance strategy development.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and investigations to identify and implement solutions to mechanical issues.
- Proactively support and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) processes, ensuring that all mechanical operations adhere to safety standards.
- Regularly liaise with key stakeholders to review and update mechanical maintenance content in SAP and CMMS (UNISOL) systems.
- Provide technical expertise during project execution and shutdown periods, contributing to preparation and implementation phases.
Qualifications and Work Experience
- Essential: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Desirable: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Desirable: SAP user certification, SCQF level 5 or higher.
- Essential: Experience in mechanical engineering within the energy sector, specifically offshore experience.
- Desirable: Experience with both static and rotating equipment maintenance.
