We are currently seeking candidates for 2 year fixed term positions at Hinkley Point C location. We would be looking to deploy in August 2026. This role will be responsible for carrying out welding activities to the required specification, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in line with nuclear safety culture at site.
Key Deliverables:
- Perform welding operations on pipework, plate, and structural components to meet project specifications and nuclear quality standards.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, welding procedures, and work instructions to ensure correct assembly and fabrication.
- Inspect and verify completed welds for compliance with quality, safety, and dimensional requirements, raising any non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate records of welds, consumables, and inspections in line with site and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-job risk assessments to support a positive safety culture.
- Report hazards, incidents, or non-conformances promptly to the Supervisor and contribute to incident investigations as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area to minimise risks and support operational efficiency.
- Engage with QA/QC Inspectors and other trades to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth workflow.
- Comply with all site-specific and nuclear safety requirements, including PPE, permit-to-work, and environmental controls.
Profile Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Essential: BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualification
- Essential: Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent apprenticeship
- Essential: ACE Card in Welding Pipe or Plate (or equivalent)
- Essential: CCNSG Safety Passport
- Essential: Demonstrable experience performing welding operations to technical specifications in a high-risk or regulated environment.
- Essential: Experience working as part of a team to deliver to safety and quality specifications
