We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, hardworking, team player for 6 sessions per week. Salary negotiable depending on experience, will include payment for study leave (1.11 sessions paid per session worked). We are looking for a dynamic, professional and friendly GP to join our practice team to continue to deliver the high standard of clinical care we currently provide.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- The post holder must be dedicated, responsible, and driven to contribute to the innovative and forward‑thinking practice direction, and be a key team player.
- They must have an awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. safeguarding, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety etc.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential.
- Mix of routine work, some on‑call, working across two sites.
- 15‑minute appointments.
- Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend may be required occasionally.
- Flexibility around start and end times is essential.
- Permanent position.
Practice Details
Pontesbury & Worthen Medical Practice is a developing and growing practice with two sites, situated in the rural villages of Pontesbury and Worthen, just south of Shrewsbury, providing medical care for approximately 10,500 patients. We are a forward‑thinking team, keen to adopt and progress innovative ideas and solutions whilst providing excellent clinical care. We are a Dispensing practice. We are a training practice. We are part of Shropshire Rural Alliance Primary Care Network.

Computer System: We use EMIS Web along with Docman, and Clarity Team Net.
Compensation
Salary: Dependent on experience. Salary negotiable depending on experience, with payment for study leave (1.11 sessions paid per session worked).
