This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food and organisation to play a key role in supporting practical food lessons. About the Role
As a Food Technician, you will support the delivery of Food Technology lessons by ensuring practical sessions run smoothly and safely. You will play an important role behind the scenes, preparing ingredients, organising equipment and helping maintain a safe learning environment for students. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help students gain hands-on experience in cooking and food preparation while ensuring all practical activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing ingredients, equipment and resources for practical food lessons
- Supporting teachers and students during practical cooking sessions
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic food preparation environment
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering ingredients and supplies when required
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces after lessons
- Ensuring health and safety procedures and food hygiene standards are followed at all times
