The Parts Salesperson will be based at Ponsse UK Ltd, Parts Department, located at 4 Annan Business Park, Annan, DG12 6TZ.

This role reports directly to the Parts Supervisor.

Standard working hours for this position are from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required to ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled.

Main Duties
  • Package and dispatch parts orders to both external and internal customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Process spare parts enquiries, creating orders for both external and internal customers as necessary.
  • Handle received orders from suppliers, ensuring all items are checked and processed correctly.
  • Manage the return of parts from internal customers, ensuring all returns are properly recorded and processed.
  • Create orders for suppliers based on departmental demand, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the department, supporting traceability and compliance.
  • Carry out all work in a safe manner, maintaining a safe and tidy workplace at all times.
  • Operate a Forklift truck only after completing the necessary training and always in accordance with company procedures.
  • Adhere to all company and site rules, procedures and policies at all times.
  • Conduct regular stock and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and availability of parts.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in both the warehouse and the front of house, as these areas are visible to customers.
  • Report any incidents or near misses promptly to support workplace safety.
Support Duties
  • Answer the telephone in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance to callers as needed.
  • Greet visitors and external customers courteously and assist them as appropriate.
  • Wear corporate clothing as issued, presenting a professional image at all times.
  • Uphold and follow the One Ponsse principles in daily work.
  • Offer support to colleagues within the department, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate actively in completing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work to promote safety.
  • Be willing to use a company vehicle for the delivery and collection of parts when required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with working hours to meet the demands of the role.
  • Undertake any necessary training to ensure effective performance in the role.
