We’re looking for a senior social leader to join us as Social & Influencer Director at Ponderosa. This is a board-level role with the scope to shape our agency, lead an ambitious team, and set the direction for how we deliver best-in-class social and influencer work. You’ll have the freedom to define the vision, drive innovation, and influence how brands show up in culture. What You’ll Do

  • Set the vision: Define and lead the long-term strategy for social and influencer at Ponderosa, aligning creative, commercial, and cultural thinking.
  • Drive strategic excellence: Build and embed a culture of strategic rigour — from content and influencer planning through to measurement and performance.
  • Deliver impact: Lead strategy and creative direction for major clients, acting as senior counsel and ensuring our work moves audiences and drives measurable results.
  • Lead new business: Partner with the Group Growth Director on pitches and showcase our social and influencer expertise to win new opportunities.
  • Grow the function: Own the P&L, develop new revenue streams, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Lead the team: Mentor, inspire, and develop a 10-strong team, building future leaders and creating a supportive, high-performance culture.
  • Champion integration: Embed social and influencer thinking across creative, media, PR, and comms.
  • Protect brands: Ensure governance, compliance, and brand safety across all activity.

About You

  • Senior-level agency experience across social and influencer marketing — covering paid, organic, and creator-led campaigns.
  • Proven success in scaling teams and delivering revenue growth (£1m+).
  • Experienced in strategic development within client accounts and new business environments.
  • A natural client partner — confident, commercial, and trusted by senior stakeholders for your strategic and creative counsel.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.
  • Comfortable with budgets, forecasting, and P&L ownership.
  • Track record of leading teams of 10+ with a people-first approach.
  • A trusted voice at board and C-suite level.
