About the Position
We are seeking a motivated Drafter to join our Energy Mechanical team in Denver, CO. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support design efforts on a wide variety of Energy sector projects, including midstream terminal facilities, processing plants, and both commercial and military fueling systems. In this role, you will assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical piping and equipment systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements, client standards, and applicable industry codes. You will work closely with Mechanical and Process Engineers to support the creation and updating of P&IDs and PFDs, while contributing to the preparation of construction documents and design packages. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting project deliverables, maintaining drafting standards, and developing your technical skill set. This position provides a strong foundation for growth within piping and mechanical design while contributing to impactful Energy projects.
Experience and Qualifications
- 0–2 years of piping or mechanical drafting experience (internships or co‑ops applicable)
- Degree and/or certificate in Computer‑Aided Drafting or similar, preferred
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant3D, CADWorx, or similar
- Basic understanding of piping systems, mechanical layouts, and engineering drawings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high‑quality work
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with engineers and project teams
- Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow within the piping and mechanical design field
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is determined by scope and level of position, geographic location, and candidate skill, knowledge, and experience. Starting base pay may vary accordingly. Additional cash incentives may be provided, along with a range of medical, financial, and other benefits dependent on the position offered.
