As a warehouse clerk on Pomerleau’s logistics team, you will be responsible for receiving, classifying, sorting, storing and shipping goods for use on our construction sites for large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.
What You Will Do
- Receive, count, weigh, sort, check, classify, pack and unpack goods from suppliers, offices or construction sites.
- Store goods in an orderly fashion so they are easily accessible and maintained in good condition.
- Process merchandise requests and prepare shipments for dispatch to our sites or suppliers.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing goods using handling/lifting devices such as pallet trucks and forklifts.
- Maintain inventory order registers and filing using manual or computerized systems.
- Prepare inventory replenishment orders.
- Issue recommendations to users when necessary on products and tools in stock.
- Complete shipping and tracking documents.
- Identify stored tools and equipment.
- Participate in inventory checks and stock‑taking.
- Monitor measuring equipment in accordance with ISO standards.
Qualifications
- DES, ASP and/or DEP in a relevant field.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position (inventory management, parts clerk, storekeeper, tool rental, etc.).
- Demonstrated adaptability and autonomy while promoting teamwork.
- Rigorous, methodical and meticulous.
Additional Assets
- WHMIS training or training in the transportation of dangerous goods (TDG).
- Experience operating a forklift or lift platform.
