Salary: Β£40000 - Β£50000 GBPHolidays: 20 days increasing but it is negotiableFull-Time: PermanentOpportunities: for O.T.EWe are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, and installation work across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring fire systems remain compliant, reliable, and fully operational.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, and servicing of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
  • Undertake fault-finding, remedial works, and small installations in line with industry regulations (BS5839 & BS5266).
  • Provide commissioning support, including fire alarm software programming where required.
  • Respond promptly to reactive callouts, delivering first-time fixes wherever possible.
  • Complete compliance documentation, logbooks, and certification following works.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and risk assessments.

Essential Qualification and Experience:

  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems across commercial or residential sites.
  • Strong working knowledge of emergency lighting systems and statutory testing requirements.
  • On-site fire alarm experience (1st and 2nd fix works).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm industry standards (BS5839) and emergency lighting standards (BS5266).
  • Demonstrable experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, and remedial works.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple London sites with excellent time management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.

Desirable:

  • Fire alarm software programming and commissioning experience.
  • Industry-recognised training in fire alarm systems.
  • Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, or PASMA certification.
