Polyteck Building Services is looking for an experienced Commercial Pump Specialist / Pump Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial and industrial sites throughout London. We are looking for a strong, technically capable engineer who can work independently, diagnose pump and system faults efficiently, and deliver a high standard of service across a range of commercial pumping systems.

What you'll be doing:
- Service, maintain and repair commercial pumping systems
- Carry out planned and reactive pump maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Work on pumps, motors, seals, bearings, couplings and VFD systems
- Carry out pump rebuilds, seal replacements and motor alignments
- Perform system testing, fault finding and performance checks
- Support commissioning and system start-ups
- Complete job reports and service documentation accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients and site teams
- Ensure all works are completed safely and to a high standard
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience servicing commercial or industrial pumping systems
- Good knowledge of pump systems, pump curves and system performance
- Experience with booster, inline, multistage, sump or similar commercial pumps
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with VFD-controlled pumping systems
- Good knowledge of seals, bearings, motors and hydronic systems
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Desirable: Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Experience with BMS systems
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
- Manufacturer pump training or certification
