Polyteck Building Services is seeking a reliable and technically skilled Junior Fire Alarm Technician to support planned maintenance, reactive callouts, installation, and remedial works across multiple sites. This role ensures that fire alarm and associated life safety systems remain compliant, effective, and operational at all times.
Principal Responsibilities
- Ensure effective running of assigned works, including:
- Allocating sufficient time and labour to complete tasks.
- Coordinating required equipment and materials with the Supervising Technician and Maintenance Manager.
- Following a systematic and logical sequence of works.
- Completing job sheets accurately with call-out details and time spent.
- Completing and maintaining fire log books and relevant site documentation.
- Conducting weekly fire alarm testing where required.
- Attending reactive callouts during and outside of normal working hours.
- Raising job sheets where additional works or time are required.
- Ensuring safe use and care of all assigned tools and equipment.
- Providing certification upon completion of service and installation works.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments. Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and third parties to ensure expectations are managed and met.

Experience in weekly fire alarm testing and monthly emergency lighting checks. Successful completion of pre-employment checks and DBS clearance.
