Polytec are seeking an Electronics Engineer for a local technology company to support the transition of products from development into production. The role focuses on production test, process development and improving the efficiency and reliability of electronic assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the introduction of new products into production, ensuring designs are suitable for manufacture and test
- Define and manage bills of materials (BOMs) within ERP systems for new products
- Develop and implement production test strategies, including functional test, calibration and verification
- Design and develop test fixtures, jigs and automated test equipment
- Collaborate with software/embedded teams to support test development where required
- Ensure electronic designs meet requirements for production through DFM/DFT reviews
- Support and optimise processes for PCB assembly, cable harnessing, calibration and system integration
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure consistent quality and yield
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance production efficiency, test coverage and product quality
- Provide hands-on support to troubleshoot electronic and system-level issues in production
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for failures and defects
