Polytec are looking for an experienced Site Services Manager to join our client based near Saffron Walden. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site facilities, utilities and maintenance, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant legislation. You'll lead a small maintenance team, manage contractors, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, deliver site improvement projects and take ownership of budgets and purchasing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all site facilities, utilities and building services
  • Lead planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety and building regulations
  • Manage external contractors and oversee site improvement and refurbishment projects
  • Manage the Site Services budget, purchasing, purchase orders and invoice approvals
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and site documentation
  • Lead, support and develop a small in-house maintenance team
  • Prioritise daily workloads, delegate tasks and ensure work is completed to a high standard
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, including maintenance systems and site efficiency

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician with broad maintenance and installation experience
  • Previous experience of managing site services or facilities within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of building services, including HVAC, heating, water treatment, compressed air, fire safety and security systems
  • Proven experience managing and developing a small team
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, purchasing and contractors
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with a hands-on approach to site maintenance
  • Strong administrative skills with experience maintaining compliance and maintenance records
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent communication and organisational skills
