We are seeking an experienced RF Team Leader to join our client's R&D department based just north of Cambridge. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on RF design, contributing to the development of advanced communication systems used across global industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of RF design engineers
  • Allocate engineering resources and oversee technical standards
  • Drive RF subsystem design, specification, and testing
  • Integrate with baseband, audio, and software teams
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Communicate progress and issues to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related discipline
  • Strong background in RF design and team leadership
  • Expertise in at least 3 areas such as RF Tx/Rx, antennas, power amplifiers, EMC, broadband communications, or LTE/4G/5G
  • Familiarity with at least 2 RF technologies (e.g., GSM, WiFi, GNSS, TETRA)
  • Proficient in RF design tools (e.g., ADS, CST) and testing environments (e.g., anechoic chambers)
