Polytec are looking for an Innovation Consultant for our Saffron Walden based client. We're interested in candidates with expertise in a variety of areas including strategy, innovation, design and engineering together with the aptitude to work across subjects, methodologies and markets, understanding customers' challenges and creating new solutions. You are likely to have previous experience in consulting or corporate environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading on new innovation projects - understanding customer needs, creating new products & technologies, developing demonstrators and prototyping solutions
  • Managing and maintaining relationships - developing strong commercial relationships with customers and maintaining these relationships moving forward
  • New customer development - lead development, attending conferences, planning, writing and presenting proposals for new projects

Requirements:

  • Degree in a technical discipline from a leading university
  • An aptitude to work across disciplines, methodologies and markets
  • An understanding of customer challenges, creating new solutions
  • Previous experience in consulting or corporate environments
  • Passionate about meaningful innovation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
