Polytec are looking for a Senior RF Engineer for our client based just north of Cambridge. As an experienced engineer, you will contribute significantly to development projects, leveraging your expertise in RF electronics design.
Responsibilities:
- Technical design and specification of RF circuitry
- Designing and developing RF systems at component level
- Conducting performance tests and optimizations to meet performance criteria
- Collaborating with baseband, software, and audio teams to incorporate RF solutions into broader projects
- Creating detailed technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and performance assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Extensive experience in RF design and development, ideally within the telecommunications or critical communications industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of RF systems and technologies, including design, simulation and testing
- Proven hands-on design experience
- Significant experience at design level in at least three of the following areas:
- RF Tx/Rx Architectures
- RF Receivers
- RF Transmitters
- RF Power Amplifiers
- EMC/EMI
- Frequency Generators
- Antenna design
- Antenna tuning
- Matching networks
- Broadband communications
- LTE/4G/5G
