The successful candidate will take the lead on product development and product improvement projects, collaborating with senior engineers and scientists in a dynamic R and D environment to ensure the development of market leading products. Responsibilities: * Design products and create innovative solutions that meet customer needs * Lead individual NPD and product improvement projects from conception to completion * Support and lead Engineering Change Request (ECR) projects * Mechanical and electromechanical design using SolidWorks * Source materials and parts, analysing risk and mitigating supplier bottlenecks * Develop test procedures, collect data, analyse results and report findings * Plan and cost projects, including creating project plans, timelines and budgets * Prepare and update product documentation including instructions, production packs, BOMs and QA / testing procedures Requirements: * Degree in Mechanical engineering * 10 years minimum working experience in an industrial or R and D environment with a track record of delivering projects on time and to budget * Design experience including both mechanical and electronic prod…
