Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working available.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electronics Technician to join an innovative engineering environment supporting cutting-edge electronics development and testing. This hands-on role will take ownership of laboratory operations whilst supporting electronics build, commissioning and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day electronics lab operations, safety procedures and compliance activities
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain COSHH documentation/processes
  • Oversee lab inventory, tooling, components and supplier sourcing
  • Build, solder, test and troubleshoot PCBs and electronic assemblies
  • Support equipment design, test rig development, maintenance and calibration
  • Carry out fault finding, repair and commissioning of electronic systems
  • Maintain workshop tools/equipment and support light mechanical rework activities
  • Ensure lab organisation, ESD compliance and high housekeeping standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an electronics technician or lab-based engineering role
  • Strong PCB assembly, soldering, testing and fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of lab safety, risk assessments, COSHH and ESD controls
  • Experience maintaining test equipment
