Are you practical, hands-on, and looking to build a long-term career in maintenance/engineering? Our client is looking for a motivated Site Maintenance Trainee to join their busy Facilities Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, work alongside experienced engineers and receive full training while developing your technical skills. Working as part of the Site Services team, you'll support the maintenance and upkeep of the site's facilities and utilities, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. Whether you've recently completed a college course, are looking for your first engineering role, or simply have a genuine interest in maintenance and facilities, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Assisting experienced engineers with planned preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Helping respond to maintenance requests across the site
  • Learning to inspect and maintain site services such as HVAC, compressed air, water systems and electrical services
  • Supporting general building maintenance, including basic repairs, painting and upkeep
  • Working alongside contractors during maintenance and improvement projects
  • Updating maintenance records and learning to use maintenance management systems
  • Following all health and safety procedures and taking part in ongoing training
  • Developing your technical skills through practical, on-the-job experience
Requirements
  • We're looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, so previous experience isn't essential.
  • A genuine interest in engineering, maintenance or facilities
  • Good practical skills and enjoy hands-on work
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • A relevant engineering qualification (such as a BTEC, NVQ, or City and Guilds) would be an advantage but isn't essential
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A reliable, enthusiastic approach and a strong work ethic
