Polytec are seeking a proactive and hands-on Laboratory Technician to join our Cambridge based client. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will provide essential laboratory expertise and practical support across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions from early-stage concepts through to manufacturing. This role could suit someone in the early stages of their career looking to train and develop.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain laboratory facilities, ensuring a safe, organised and efficient working environment
- Perform routine laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance
- Conduct daily and weekly equipment inspections and checks
- Carry out verification testing and evaluation of systems and devices under development
- Prepare stock and working solutions to support project activities within wet laboratory environments
- Record, analyse and communicate test results accurately to project teams and stakeholders
- Follow standard operating procedures and comply with health and safety requirements at all times
- Support mechanical rig assembly and testing activities where required
