An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior PCB Design Engineer to join our client based near Saffron Walden. Working for an innovative engineering consultancy developing advanced electronic products and technologies, this role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of PCB design experience who is keen to build a long-term career in high-quality board design while gaining exposure to RF, digital, analogue and mixed-signal technologies. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will support the full PCB design lifecycle, from component library creation through to layout, documentation and release, while learning from experienced PCB and electronics engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Support PCB design activities including library management, layout, documentation and release.
  • Translate electronic schematics into high-quality PCB layouts.
  • Ensure design documentation and release packs are accurate and complete.
  • Participate in design reviews and implement feedback.
  • Develop expertise in RF, digital, analogue and power PCB design.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electronics engineers on product integration and design optimisation.
  • Assist with process improvements, supplier liaison and project management.
