Hours: 37.5 hours, 7:30am - 5:15pm Monday to Wednesday with a 4:45pm finish on Thursday (Day shift) or 6pm - 6:30am Monday to Wednesday (Night shift)
Salary: £15 - £20 per hour dependent on experience with a 25% uplift for night shift
Our client, a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing company based in Ely, are looking for experienced TIG Welders/Finishers to join their fabrication team. Permanent opportunities are available on both day and night shifts.
Responsibilities- TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium and similar materials to a high standard (1-3mm thickness)
- MIG welders with strong experience and a willingness to train in TIG are also encouraged to apply
- Weld box section frames and fabricated assemblies to tight tolerances
- Dress and finish welded components using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Ensure work meets quality standards and production targets
- Support fabrication and assist with general sheet metal work where required
- Proven welding and fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail with excellent finishing skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing quality work
- Experience within a quality-driven environment is advantageous
