Hours: 9.00am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (37.5 hour week, overtime available in busy periods)

We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Production Team Leader for a growing technology manufacturing company based in central Cambridge. You will support the assembly and testing of innovative smart monitoring products, combining day-to-day production work with team leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small production team (approx. 5 technicians), assigning daily tasks and ensuring output targets are met
  • Monitor production performance and report progress, downtime, shortages and quality issues to management
  • Ensure all safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed
  • Assemble and test electronic/mechanical products to high quality standards
  • Support a variety of production activities including assembly, programming, packing, counting and lab assistance
  • Operate production and prototype equipment such as 3D printers and power tools (training provided)

Requirements:

  • Experience leading a team in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong practical skills in mechanical assembly and use of hand/power tools
  • Comfortable with physical work (standing/walking for extended periods)
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to follow digital processes
  • Good numeracy skills for measuring, cutting and stock management
  • Clear spoken and written English communication skills
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship

Desirable:

  • Experience with soldering, electronics repair or 3D printing
  • First aid certification
