We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Production Team Leader for a growing technology manufacturing company based in central Cambridge. You will support the assembly and testing of innovative smart monitoring products, combining day-to-day production work with team leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small production team (approx. 5 technicians), assigning daily tasks and ensuring output targets are met
- Monitor production performance and report progress, downtime, shortages and quality issues to management
- Ensure all safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed
- Assemble and test electronic/mechanical products to high quality standards
- Support a variety of production activities including assembly, programming, packing, counting and lab assistance
- Operate production and prototype equipment such as 3D printers and power tools (training provided)
Requirements:
- Experience leading a team in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong practical skills in mechanical assembly and use of hand/power tools
- Comfortable with physical work (standing/walking for extended periods)
- Basic computer literacy and ability to follow digital processes
- Good numeracy skills for measuring, cutting and stock management
- Clear spoken and written English communication skills
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
Desirable:
- Experience with soldering, electronics repair or 3D printing
- First aid certification
