Polytec are looking for a skilled RF Engineer to join our client based on the north side of Cambridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of RF circuitry for communication devices and will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to testing and delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF (radio frequency) circuitry for wireless communication products
  • Support subsystem design and integration with wider hardware and software systems
  • Select and evaluate components and contribute to schematic design and PCB layout
  • Carry out testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Produce technical documentation to support design and validation

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • Experience in RF design or a similar engineering role
  • Good understanding of RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antennas
  • Experience with RF testing and basic simulation tools
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving, including PCB-level work
  • Strong communication skills
