Our Haverhill based client is looking for skilled Electro-Mechanical Process Technicians to join their production and engineering team. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced and ideal for someone who enjoys working with cutting‑edge equipment and complex assemblies. You will be required to commute to Cambridge for training and induction for your 1st week only.
Responsibilities- Build and assemble advanced battery packs to engineering specifications
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical production equipment
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault‑finding on fixtures, tools and automated systems
- Complete in‑process testing, measurements, inspections and pack‑level validation
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration and equipment care
- Maintain accurate build records and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement and the introduction of new processes
- NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong hands‑on experience with electrical and mechanical systems
- Background in electro‑mechanical assembly – ideally battery packs, electronics, automotive or aerospace
- Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed work instructions
- Practical skills using multimeters, torque tools, crimping tools and diagnostic equipment
- Awareness of high‑voltage safety principles
- Flexibility around working hours if required to meet goals
- Ability to work in a team, spot bottlenecks and assist where required
- Experience in EV battery systems or energy storage products
- Exposure to automation, PLC equipment, or robotics
- Knowledge of Lean/5S principles
- Apprenticeships or industry certifications an advantage
