Hours: 8:30-17:00 Mon- Thurs and 8:30-14:00 Fri. (flexibility is required in line with business demand)

We are seeking a reliable Chemical Production Operator with a proactive mindset to join our Haverhill based client during an exciting stage of growth. This role is to support the operation of pilot plant equipment and carry out routine quality control checks. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, technical environment. Full training provided for candidates with self-drive and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Independently run the production line from start to finish, ensuring caution and attention to detail at every stage
  • Operate and maintain site utilities, including water and gas systems, cooling systems, HVAC and electrical services
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure it is maintained to a high standard
  • Carry out weekly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks
  • Support other teams when required
  • Contribute to Health & Safety, site security and general site upkeep
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the facility
  • Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Work closely with the Plant Engineer to support equipment installation and maintenance
Requirements
  • Experience in a production, manufacturing, chemical handling or similar hands-on environment
  • Strong practical ability with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment would be an advantage
