Polytec are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a fast-paced manufacturing and operational environment on an interim basis. This is a hands-on role focused on employee relations, leadership support, organisational change and driving continuous improvement across people processes and HR practices.
FTC Bonus – A completion bonus will be paid at the end of the fixed-term contract, subject to agreed criteria being met.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and operational teams
- Manage and advise on employee relations cases, ensuring policy and employment law compliance
- Coach and support managers on performance, conduct and people management issues
- Support organisational changes including restructures, consultations and team changes
- Assist with performance review and capability management processes
- Work closely with HR operations to ensure consistent HR process delivery
- Support the rollout of HR initiatives, policy updates and process improvements
- Maintain a visible presence within operational and manufacturing teams
- Use HR data and insights to support decision making and workforce planning
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent
- HR experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous HR Business Partnering or HR advisory experience
- Strong employee relations and case management background
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or operational environments
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting organisational change and performance management
- Ability to build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders
- Confident communicator with a practical and proactive approach
- Experience with HR systems, digital HR processes or HRIS implementation desirable
- Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement environments advantageous
