We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join the day shift team for our Ely based client.
Responsibilities- Load, set up, and operate CNC machines in accordance with production requirements
- Previous experience operating a Doosan Lynx CNC machine is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided
- Manufacture first-off components for inspection and approval before commencing full production
- Maintain responsibility for quality control by recording and verifying components against engineering drawing specifications
- Monitor machine performance throughout production to maximise efficiency and output
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across manufacturing processes
- Read, interpret, and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic servicing of equipment and machinery within your area of responsibility, in line with your skills and training
- Experience operating Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve machining or production issues efficiently
