Wood Machinist

Robertson Recruitment is seeking a skilled wood machinist to join a manufacturing company based in the Newark area. The candidate will operate woodworking machinery to produce flooring components, including different types of boards.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 4:00 pm. Overtime available during the week and at weekends. Time and a half after 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of woodworking machines
• Manufacture flooring components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Set up and adjust machinery
• Perform quality checks throughout production
• Ensure safety standards are met

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in flooring manufacture and woodworking production
• Strong knowledge of various woods
• Ability to set up and operate saws and other machines
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices
