SMT Operator

Are you experienced in operating SMT machinery and looking to join a forward-thinking electronics manufacturing team? Robertson Recruitment looking for a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operatorto support the growing production line.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7.45am-4.30pm

Friday 7.40am-2pm

20 min paid and a 20 min unpaid break

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT pick-and-place machines
• Perform machine setup, feeder loading, and changeovers
• Monitor production runs and adjust settings for optimal performance
• Inspect PCBs for soldering and component placement accuracy
• Perform rework and hand soldering as needed
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve production issues

Skills required:

• Previous experience operating SMT machinery (1+ year preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and component layouts
• Good attention to detail and quality focus
• Basic understanding of electronics and SMT processes
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
