Role Overview

As a Quality Engineer your focus will be to accelerate enhanced quality performance through the delivery of effective daily management, delivery of strategic projects and deployment of tools & techniques.

Engagement with key business stakeholders will be key to ensure end-to-end quality is built into our products, processes, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, R&D and Engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the Quality and Operations teams in delivering continuous improvement activities that enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Increase standardisation, reduce variation and deliver quality improvement projects, including new product development and existing product portfolio activities.
  • Implement, maintain and analyse quality metrics, conducting root cause investigations and driving corrective actions to improve processes.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Quality Improvement Strategy aligned to the Genuit Business System.
  • Capture and analyse customer feedback, using insights to improve performance and enhance communication across the business.
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training to build capability and reduce NCRs and customer support issues.
  • Deliver improvements to quality management systems, product specifications and standards, while supporting visual management and workplace organisation initiatives.
  • Apply continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Kaizen, Gemba, Pareto and SPC to drive business improvements.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve end-to-end quality systems, enhancing efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience delivering Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Experience developing and implementing leading and lagging KPI metrics.
  • Experience of project planning.
  • Experience of visual management.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective meetings and training modules.
  • Excellent Power Point and Excel skills.
  • Demonstrable involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean tools, Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to train, present and conduct workshops.
  • Willingness to travel to other UK locations to deliver projects.
