Closing Date for Application: Thursday 10/09/2026 You will be responsible for transporting our products to and from various locations. You will ensure that our products are delivered safely and on time, while also adhering to road safety regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Transport Goods: Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to deliver goods, such as underground water management products i.e. Pipes and Fittings, various merchants and construction sites Complete deliveries to customers on time and in good condition, following the set route. Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks before starting a journey, ensuring the truck is roadworthy and safe. Report any vehicle issues or defects promptly to the transport manager. Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained both inside and out. Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers and delivery recipients, ensuring high-quality customer service. Obtain signatures and documentation for deliveries where required. Provide updates to the dispatch team on delivery status or any potential delays. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all driving laws, road safety regulations, and transport industry standards. Ensure compliance with the Driver CPC regulations, maintaining valid qualifications and certifications. Follow health and safety procedures when loading, unloading, and driving. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, and driving hours. Log mileage and fuel consumption for operational purposes. Handle any additional paperwork associated with deliveries (e.g., delivery notes, invoices). Essential Criteria Valid Class 2 HGV License (LGV Category C). Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification. Full UK Driving License with no serious endorsements. Good Knowledge of Road Safety and traffic laws. Physical Fitness for manual loading/unloading tasks. Customer Service Skills to interact effectively with clients and customers. Good Communication Skills for reporting issues and updating teams. Organisational Skills to manage delivery schedules and time effectively.
