Role Overview

The Class 2 Driver will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods and services to our clients while adhering to all road safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class 2 vehicle safely, following all traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Deliver goods and materials to scheduled locations, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks, reporting defects promptly.
  • Safely load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured to prevent damage.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation including logs, mileage and incident reports.
  • Provide professional customer service and resolve delivery‑related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, hours‑of‑service rules and company H&S policies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics and planning teams to support efficient operations.
  • Follow company Health, Safety & Environment procedures and driver handbook requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in daily work tasks and processes.
Skills and Experience
  • UK Driving Licence Category C+E
  • In‑date UK Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
  • Strong navigation ability and working knowledge of UK road networks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in safely and legally securing loads.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturday mornings.
