Nu-Heat was born from a desire to provide underfloor heating solutions in the UK, when in 1992, no supplier existed. Since then, we have been perfecting bespoke, high efficiency home heating systems whilst developing our own industry leading underfloor heating products along the way. Backed by lifetime technical support and award-winning customer service, our bespoke heating systems are precisely designed for our customers' projects, so they feel the difference. Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, Nu-heat has ambitious growth plans.

Working Style: On site with travel to other Genuit sites expected Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 with 30 min lunch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the GBS Lead you’ll be the Genuit Business Systems lead for Climate Management Solutions, focussing on Nu-Heat.
  • You will be responsible for implementing the Genuit Business System, its tools, techniques and behaviours, seeking out ways to work better.
  • As a change agent for the business, the GBS Lead is responsible for identifying and delivering business improvement through Kaizen events, CI projects (CIP), daily collaboration, focused action and teamwork.
  • The GBS Lead is a data focussed, process driven advocate for change who recognises the importance of engagement, colleague relationships and teamwork.
  • It’s essential that as the GBS Lead you lead the structured approach and alignment to the GBS way of working whilst rolling up your sleeves to make stuff happen!

We work together

  • You will be an active member of the GBS team, collaborating to elevate performance across the business.
  • Collaborating across functions you’ll drive improvement through our organisation.
  • As a subject matter expert you’ll coach our functional teams enabling improvement to become sustainable and part of how we do business.
  • As an experienced facilitator you’ll facilitate Kaizen events, lead the process of identifying the most impactful events and reporting on the events success.
  • Responding to daily challenges you’ll lead root cause analysis workshops and following the completion of corrective and preventative actions.
  • You will support wider CMS improvement activities by sharing knowledge and supporting cross-business events in the division.

  • You will take ownership of your role and deliver results.
  • Taking local ownership of implementing the Genuit Business System you’ll deliver departmental improvements.
  • As the GBS Lead you’ll own a suite of departmental KPI’s that you’ll analyse, update and action.
  • You’ll champion GBS and advocate it as “the way we work”.
  • You’ll manage your CIP portfolio ensuring projects are progressed and the correct practices are followed.

  • Using process mapping techniques you’ll deep dive into business processes to reduce or remove non-value adding steps.
  • Using the business process measures you’ll recognise areas for improvement and through pareto analysis identify the most effective way to deliver those improvements.

The Person

Essential

  • Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies and leading improvements within your team or function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, gaining buy in for new processes or ways of working.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional change in a practical, people-focussed way.
  • Project management skills with a track record of success.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using data, insight and structured processes.

Desirable

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives (formal or informal).
  • Practical understanding of Lean, six sigma, agile, or other improvement methodologies.
