Role Overview
Responsible for developing product sales across a defined geographical area and achieving set area sales budgets, covering the North East of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the company professionally and positively at all times.
- Develop a strategic network of key contractors and secure project business for the Civils product portfolio.
- Manage key projects from start to completion with regular updates.
- Collaborate with Specification, Developer, Key Account teams, and the wider Polypipe Group.
- Maintain close working relationships with internal departments including sales, technical, and commercial teams.
- Generate technical sales enquiries and convert them into orders.
- Maintain technical competence across the full Civils product range.
- Grow the supply chain by working closely with key merchant groups.
- Report market conditions and competitor activity.
- Maintain a managed project log and provide weekly sales forecasts.
Skills and Experience
- Commercial and technical sales experience.
- Proven record in developing new and existing business.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful pitches.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Adaptable and self-motivated.
- Strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid UK Driving Licence.
