Role: To enable the HSQEP & wider teams’ to realise their strategic plans by engaging, supporting and facilitating activities aligned to the CGU Strategic Vision, including but not limited to compliance objectives, training and development, onboarding and proactive and reactive safety measures. Key Responsibilities: * To provide the highest levels service to our internal customers. * Coordination of the CGU H&S Risk Register, helping deliver the benefits of streamlined approach to the amount of risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work * Facilitate updates, reminders and support on initiatives in line with the HSE Strategic delivery plan and HSE brand standards. * Collate and analysis key HSE KPIs to be presented at all levels of the organisation * To be part of the internal auditing team to support in the continual improvement standards * Delivery of quality assurance support within the risk assessment and SSoW review process * Support departmental safety meetings * Coordination of the HSE compliance matrix, whilst also undertake legislative compliance checks * Ensuring the provision of PPE, such as ear plugs are available * Management of the availability of first aid equipment * Facilitate training documentation, administering onto the system. * Support mandatory training programmes * Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE performance, including operational and supply chain projects * Coordination of the HSE Continual Improvement Plan * To play a key role in the delivery of improvement plans * Champion social sustainability * To help the coordination and delivery of HSE consultation, including supporting in the delivery of the HSE Strategy. Person: * GCSEs in Math & English at Grade C or Equivalent * NVQ level 3 in Occupational H&S would be desirable, but not essential * IOSH Managing safety is essential for the role * Previous experience working in Health, safety & Environmental topics would be desirable * Previous experience conducting risk assessments & metrices is essential for the role.
