Role overview
This role is to support the Advantage service offering with critical focus on customer service delivery to internal colleagues & external customers.
Key Responsibilities for Drainage & Water Supply
- Designing using Auto CAD, Inventor and Revit Software
- Outworking 2D & 3D drawings where required
- Using the company’s bespoke programs to generate estimates and quotations
- Satisfactorily outworking technical queries for all identified product ranges.
- Customer Telephone support
- Supporting the external sale team and wider technical team by attending customers sites.
- Supporting quality and sales with customer complaints
- Attending pre site commencement meetings as required
- Helping develop new and existing product ranges with NPD and R&D
- Supporting the Advantage manufacturing team
Skills And Requirements
- Excellent Auto CAD, Inventor and Revit Skills
- A qualification in a design / engineering discipline to HNC or experienced based competence.
- Knowledge of Polypipe standards and processes
- Knowledge of engineering principles associated with commercial above ground drainage and water supply.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, British standards and processes across the Advantage department
- Computer Literate – Windows and MS Office Skills
- Communication skills within department and other departments (face to face and by phone)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
- Advance product knowledge
- Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday - Thursday flexi start between 8:00-9:00am finishing 5:00-6:00pm, Fridays 8:30am-3:00pm.
