Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, Polypipe Building Services leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking trainee fabricators or skilled Fabricators to support our fabrication team of high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner, while learning and adopting our trademark behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to fabricate standard products (stock work) and bespoke (project) products on at least one of the product ranges of Fuze, MecFlow or PVC with limited supervision when required.
  • Ensure quality and output standards are being consistently met at all times.
  • Ensure you work in an organised and safe manner (in accordance with safe systems of work) promoting health and safety polices.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping and workplace organisation in line with the standardised layout.

Skills & Requirements

  • The ability to interpret technical drawings for manufacture.
  • Experience of working in a fabrication role (not necessarily with plastic).
  • Demonstrated practical experience in a workshop environment and use of hand and powered tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to measure accurately.
  • We would consider a trainee position for the right candidate.

Working Hours & Benefits

Monday to Thursday 08:00am – 16:00pm, Friday 06:00am – 12:00pm, with 30 minutes paid lunch break in a day.

Salary range Β£25,700 - Β£28,000.
