Polypipe Building Services houses the well‑known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high‑rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.
Role Overview
This role will be project‑focused, selling the entire range of products that Polypipe Building Services offers into the commercial market. The product ranges include above ground drainage, water supply systems, advantage fabrication systems and all associated building services products/services.
Area
This role will cover the postcodes: NN, MK, SG, LU, HP, WD, HA, N, NW, W. Please note the successful candidate will need to live within the patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expected conversion rates on a select number of projects following a cradle‑to‑grave approach in collaboration with the wider sales team.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders on new projects, documenting progress and activities on personally assigned opportunities.
- Plan diary effectively and forward‑plan for the sales cycle.
- Manage contractor terms and agreements, including regular reviews on levels and spend to justify terms.
- Provide first‑line technical dialogue and information to the selected customer base.
- Liaise with clients and handle objections.
- Respond quickly to all incoming enquiries, delivering excellent customer service.
- Complete all reporting weekly on the CRM system.
- Identify incremental growth opportunities.
- Represent and support the business at various social and brand awareness events.
- Assist with site tasks and provide technical training.
- Own the delivery and supply of projects by supporting our operational departments.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the M&E marketplace.
- Proven track record working on large‑scale commercial projects and the capability to handle technical dialogue at all levels, including presenting to groups.
- Ability to quickly become a technical specialist in PBS products and services.
- Understanding of the project stages and decision‑making process in commercial construction.
- Valid driving licence – essential for this role due to travel requirements.
