We're looking for someone to lead our brand-new Technical Training Centre – a place where installers, plumbers, heating engineers and groundworkers come to learn, develop and leave feeling confident using Polypipe systems.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days clicking through Power Point slides.
You'll be designing realistic training rigs, delivering hands‑on workshops, creating digital learning content and helping shape the skills needed for the next generation of low‑carbon homes.
You'll have the freedom to build something special, influence industry standards and become one of the leading technical voices within Polypipe.

- What you'll be doing
- Deliver engaging, hands‑on training that installers actually enjoy.
- Design and continually improve practical training programmes across plumbing, drainage, underfloor heating and air source heat pumps.
- Build realistic installation scenarios that reflect what happens on site—not just in a classroom.
- Create installation videos, webinars and digital learning content alongside our marketing team.
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of our Technical Training Centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
- Keep training rigs, tools and equipment in excellent condition.
- Mentor and support our Associate Trainer to deliver consistently high‑quality training.
- Maintain relationships with awarding bodies including BPEC and LCL Awards, ensuring our accredited status remains first class.
- Gather feedback, measure learning outcomes and continually improve what we deliver.
- Represent Polypipe at trade shows, customer events and industry exhibitions.
- Who we're looking for
- You're someone people naturally turn to for advice.
- You enjoy explaining technical topics in a way that just clicks, whether you're working with apprentices, experienced installers or merchants.
- You know the realities of working on site, but you're equally comfortable standing in front of a room full of delegates delivering an engaging session.
- You don't just tell people how something works—you show them.
- Most importantly, you'll be passionate about raising standards across the industry and helping installers leave training feeling more confident than when they arrived.
- What you'll bring
- Practical industry experience within plumbing, heating or drainage.
- Strong knowledge of plastic plumbing systems, domestic drainage, underfloor heating and air source heat pumps.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience managing a workshop, training facility or operational environment with responsibility for health and safety.
- A1 Assessor Qualification or another recognised training qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Nice to have
- Experience delivering technical training or developing practical learning programmes.
- Level 3 Air Source Heat Pump Qualification.
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET).
- Level 3 Award in Low Temperature Heating & Hot Water Design.
- WRAS, G3 Unvented and/or Part P (Basic Electrical) certifications.
