AI Platform Lead

PolyModels Hub is seeking an AI Platform Lead to architect, scale, and lead the core infrastructure powering our AI-native modeling platform. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who blends deep machine learning infrastructure experience with systems thinking, product intuition, and a passion for developer tools. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and domain experts to define how AI is integrated into the modeling lifecycle, building agents, assistants, and LLM-enhanced systems that deliver real-world value to scientists and engineers.

Your Responsibilities

• AI Platform Leadership: Define and drive the AI platform roadmap: architecture, capabilities, standards. Build and maintain the infrastructure to serve LLM-backed features, agents, and recommendation engines across the product. Lead integration efforts across modeling, ontology/data, and frontend layers.
• Cross-functional Product Delivery: Translate product needs into scalable AI capabilities, from suggestions to agent-based task automation. Shape user-facing AI features across UI, CLI, and API surfaces with engineering and design counterparts. Establish best practices for experimentation, reliability, and deployment of LLM-backed features.

We’re searching for a technical leader with deep expertise in AI systems and a passion for turning complex ideas into impactful, production-grade capabilities.

Core Qualifications

• Deep Technical Foundation: 5+ years of experience building AI/ML platforms, LLM services, or ML infrastructure at scale.
• LLM Expertise: Hands-on experience with modern LLM frameworks and architectures — including RAG pipelines, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Platform Integration: Strong systems thinking and a proven ability to integrate AI into complex, modular platforms or developer-focused tools.

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with ML lifecycle tooling (e.g., MLflow or BentoML)
• Exposure to data modeling, ontology systems, or structured scientific data
• Familiarity with workflow engines or domain-heavy platforms in pharma, biotech, or materials
